Recent Activities

Pamela Klebanov, Research Scientist at Teachers College, Columbia University, is a Visiting Research Collaborator in the Center for Research on Child Wellbeing. Klebanov, an associate of Jeanne Brooks-Gunn of Columbia University, works in conjunction with Sara McLanahan and Brooks-Gunn, representing the center as an additional expert in early childhood development. Klebanovs research interests include the effects of neighborhood poverty upon children and families, the effects of parenting (maternal warmth toward the child and the provision of learning experiences in the home) upon childrens cognitive and behavioral development, and the mechanisms through which poverty influences child development.
